Trust & Transparency
Your safety and anonymity are our highest priorities. Here is exactly how we protect you and moderate the community.
How we protect you
Your real identity is never exposed. When you post or reply, you appear as an anonymous persona (e.g., "Silver Wolf"). Even we cannot easily link your public posts back to your real identity.
We store the minimum data required to keep the app functioning. We do not track your IP address for analytics, and we do not sell your data. Your email is only used for password resets.
We are actively building E2EE for direct messages to ensure only you and the recipient can read them. The foundational architecture for this is already present in our system.
How moderation works
We use Google's Perspective API to automatically detect severe toxicity, hate speech, and harassment in real-time. Posts that score too high are flagged for immediate review.
Automated flags and user reports are sent to our Moderation Queue. Our human team reviews these reports within 24 hours to make nuanced decisions that AI might miss.
If our system detects language indicating self-harm or immediate crisis, we automatically intervene with support resources like the iCall lifeline before the post even goes live.
Your report matters
Mukhota relies on you to help keep the community safe. When you click "Report" on a post, here is the exact timeline of what happens:
The post is instantly hidden from your feed and pushed to our admin queue.
A moderator investigates the post context and the author's history.
If it violates our pledge, the post is deleted. Repeat offenders are permanently shadowbanned.
